What happens when your car is out of alignment?  Aside from being pulled left and right, the tires get worn down prematurely and driving faster only makes it worse.  

Think of your joints as your tires and your muscles as the suspension pulling them out of place.  When this happens even on a small level, your joints get inflamed, cartilage wears down and over time surgery is needed to try and correct the damage.

If joints are out of alignment, it’s typically because muscles put them there. Training the muscles to promote a healthy balance on the joints can mitigate severe discomfort, inflammation and the type of damage that can lead to surgery.

Driving faster or working out harder and more often can make it worse.
